His Excellency Mr. Mubarak bin Abdurrahman Al Nasr, ambassador of the state of Qatar to the Republic of Tajikistan, held a reception on the occasion of the national day of the state, which falls on December 18 of each year, in memory of the founder of the state of Qatar, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani (may God rest his soul), in the banquet hall of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The ceremony was attended by several prominent figures from the Tajik government, His Excellency Mr. Zavki Zavkizoda Amin - Minister of Economic Development and Trade, His Excellency Sheikh Saidmukarram Abduqodirzoda Tajikistan’s Grand Mufti, His Excellency Mr. Farrukh Sharifzoda - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan as well as heads of diplomatic missions, international organizations, and bodies residing in the Republic of Tajikistan, representatives of Governmental and private Tajik institutions.

In his speech, the ambassador welcomed the attendees, stressing the importance of national unity, pride in Qatari identity and history, the depth of relations between the state of Qatar and the Republic of Tajikistan, and coinciding this year with the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, pointing out the importance of mutual official visits between the leaders of the two countries and their contribution to strengthening cooperation in various political, economic and cultural fields.

He also reviewed the achievements of the state of Qatar internally and externally, including Qatar's fourth place in the world in economic competitiveness and the implementation of the third national development strategy (2024-2030) in addition to Qatar's role in mediation, conflict resolution, and humanitarian assistance, pointing to the state's efforts in combating corruption (the establishment of the Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani Anti-Corruption Excellence Award, hosting meetings related to anti-corruption).

He talked about the role of the state of Qatar in development, providing assistance, development, and relief projects in the affected countries, and the efforts of Education Above all in improving education for more than 17 million children.

He also stressed the commitment of the state of Qatar to continue to support and deepen relations with the Republic of Tajikistan to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples and achieve sustainable development of the region.

All the dignitaries present expressed their wishes to the state of Qatar for further progress and prosperity, praising the excellent relations that unite the two countries, and stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation in various fields for the benefit of the two peoples.
