Bilateral relations between State of Qatar and the Republic of Tajikistan during 2013

• Agreement on Security Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Government of Qatar was signed on January.
• Drafting project (on meat production especially the Hisori sheeps) as per agreement of the intergovernmental Commission between the government of Qatar and the Republic of Tajikistan.
• Official visit of the head of Qatar Football Federation to Tajikistan and  meeting his Tajik counterpart on March 15, 2013 in Dushanbe Tajikistan.
• Visit of the Qatar Delegation for ACD meeting to Dushanbe on March 27, 2013 headed by HE Doctor Khalid ben Mohammad Abdullah Al-Atiyah the Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar and meeting the President of the Republic of Tajikistan HE Emomali Rahmon.
• Visit of investment delegation headed by Sheikh Faisal ben Saud Al- Thani from Qatar al-qabidah to Dushanbe on November 19-20, 2013.
• Official visit of Tajik Delegation from Interior Ministry of Tajikistan to Qatar headed by Mr. Abdurrahim Rahimov on 18-20 March, 2013
• Visit of investment delegation headed by Sheikh Faisal ben Saud Al- Thani from Qatar al-qabidah to Dushanbe on November 19-20, 2013.
• Official visit of Tajik Delegation from Interior Ministry of Tajikistan to Qatar headed by Mr. Abdurrahim Rahimov on 18-20 March, 2013
• Mr. Ardasher Qodiri was appointed as a Tajik Ambassador to Qatar and Mr. Ali ben Mobarak al-Mohanadi was appointed as a Qatari Ambassador to Tajikistan.

Summary

• Bilateral relations between Republic of Tajikistan and the State of Qatar improved during the year of 2013 as the ambassadors of the two countries were appointed and official visits at the ministerial, business and investment levels were exchanged.
• Republic of Tajikistan continuous it's efforts to attract more investments to it's projects in different fields.
