Qatar Embassy in Tajikistan Celebrates National Day

Qatar Embassy in Tajikistan held a reception to celebrate National Day. The reception was attended by Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister Nizamuddin Zahidi as a guest of honor and Mufti of the Republic Sheikh Seyid Mukaram Abdul Qadir Zadeh, ambassadors and heads of international organizations accredited in Dushanbe and senior officials from Tajik government departments as well as a number of journalists and deans of universities and heads of education institutions. HE Qatar's Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan Ali bin Mubarak Al Mohannadi delivered a speech on the occasion of the National Day in which he praised the Qatari- Tajik relations and cooperation between the two countries in several areas, adding that these relations were enhanced by the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding as well as exchange of visits, the most recent of which is the successful visit paid by HE Prime Minister of Tajikistan Ramezan Rahim Zadeh along with a high level delegation to the State of Qatar last September. The visit's outcomes include formation of a committee of experts, under the guidance of HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, to explore cooperation in the field of investment between the two countries. The committee paid its first visit to Dushanbe at the beginning of last November. HE the Ambassador said: "We are celebrating the National Day of Qatar under our wise leadership, led by HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and we are all proud of the achievements of the State of Qatar in the fields of development and prosperity as well as in various areas such as political, economic, cultural and educational fields." He also praised the Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to transform Qatar into an advanced country capable of achieving sustainable development and decent life for its people. In his speech at the ceremony, the Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister praised the Tajik- Qatari relations, pointing out that the State of Qatar is the first Arab country to invest in his country's economy. At the end of the ceremony, Qatar Embassy presented souvenirs to the distinguished guests.
